Your baby is here! Read about what to expect in the first few days and find support when you need it to make breastfeeding work.

Challenges

What's next?

You’ve got breastfeeding down! Learn what’s next and how you can help other women succeed.

Over two thirds of women in Kent and Medway start breastfeeding their babies – we want to support women to continue for as long as they want to.

We can all do our part to normalise breastfeeding – by making sure people have the right information, support to get them through any bumps on the road and by helping women feel comfortable breastfeeding out and about.

Follow us on #wearebesideyou Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.

We want to hear your stories, see pictures of you and your beautiful babies breastfeeding and hear who has supported you along the way.

The Beside You campaign was jointly developed and launched by Medway Council and Best Beginnings in 2016 and was relaunched in 2020 to be a Kent and Medway resource by KCC, KCHFT, Medway Council and MCH.
